Friends: The Reunion

Friends: The Reunion

I think the release for this came at a perfect time for me, being thrown into a 7 day lockdown yesterday, I’m trying to get the most positivity out of it. That’s why I think I enjoyed this reunion more than I thought I would have. I thought  many parts were very well done due to editing and intertwining of segments. The cast reminiscing over old times 17 years later through bloopers, game shows and script readings, made this feel so much more genuine and their chemistry is what I think carried this whole thing and made me smile. I enjoyed reliving some of the best moments even if I’m just a casual viewer who’s only seen less than 50 episodes. I think the only thing that brought this down was the non friends related celebrity cameos, most of them felt unnecessary. We needed more celebrities like Paul Rudd, George Clooney and Danny Devito, and less Justin Bieber, BTS and or even Malala, even if they added something small. Friends is apart of our cultural zeitgeist and seeing the effort, work and impact through stories made this so much genuine and fun. I smiled and had a laugh and that’s all I need at this point. :)
