an absolute kung fu classic. Incredibly intense fight scenes with meticulous choreography that is joyful to watch. A simple plot with intricate complex characters that make the narrative intense and emotional. I can not parse its excellence enough.

  • The Last Samurai

    The Last Samurai

A film with a very interesting plot telling the story of the last of the samurai. An interesting point in history that is used to tell a story of redemption, honor friendship, and self-discovery. The Last Samurai has plenty of action with an extraordinary accompanying score. Beautiful visuals and fight choreography. some excellent character moments as the story delves deeper into the importance of the samurai to ken Watanabe, his friendship with cruse and cruses personal discovery of honor, and what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself.

such a clever premise with a gripping execution. Brilliantly written and acted. Jim Carrey perfectly depicts the slow descent into madness as he discovers his life is a lie. With Stunning visuals that left me speechless. This film did an excellent job of really making me feel something. Even after the film's perfect ending. Emotional, suspenseful, and beautiful.

    Mission: Impossible

This is possibly the most iconic of the franchise. With its theme music and spy movie tropes that people have tried to replicate for over a decade. Despite that, I feel like this is the one people tend to forget. This definitely feels like it was a reboot of a tv show. Especially in the first 20 minutes. The film still holds up today however and is suspenseful and gripping. Cruse provides the same melodramatic charm as always in this intensely entertaining spy film, that although different from its later installments is just as entertaining and certainly iconic.
