Still among the finest animated creations of all time, Wall-E is Pixar at it's finest hour.
Packed to the brim with cute and memorable characters - Wall-E is an astonshing creation, even moreso considering he hardly ever speaks, and yet he and the modern EVE convey considerably more emotions than most cinematic characters -, stunning visuals, breathtaking cinematography, a rousing score, effectively interwoven commentary and many memorable sequences, Wall-E doesn't define itself by a specific demographic and is all the better for it.
As many have already noted, the first half is truly spectacular. It's quiet, somber, but does a superb job of setting the mood and tone for what's to come while setting itself apart from other films in the genre.
Essentially, its HOW TO CRAFT A GREAT ANIMATED FILM 101. It's inspiring, heartfelt, smart, funny, unique, and above all else, timeless.
