I’m sorely disappointed in this. I never saw this film before and had not really known much about this, but this movie was really fucking boring and stupid. The characters suck, the script is terrible, the acting is so-so and the editing is horrendous. I can barely hear what anyone says because either the music is too loud when they talk or the audio is butchered.
On top of the nonsensical audio, the music is serious displaced, where they often play heightened suspenseful music during a simple scene with no action. The story is so slow and dull, I really was just screaming my head off for the whole movie to be over. Things only pick up twenty minutes into the film and it’s all just really dumb and obvious.
I will say the best thing about this movie is the stunts with the cars and motorcycles. They’re pretty good and shot cool, but other than that this movie is a huge total bust.
Even when Mel Gibson’s wife is murdered (by a single motorcycle hit), he goes on a murder rampage, but is still a weak loser who barely gets by killing all the gang members. I had high hopes, or at the very least thought that if I didn’t like it, it would be decent, but this movie was just really riddled with terrible film making.
