Wrath of Man

Wrath of Man β˜…β˜…β˜…Β½

Wrath of Man is about a man...& his wrath. But that's to be expected, right? πŸ˜… At least it's wrath that audiences can likely get on board with, thanks to steady intrigue that builds through the well-designed, nonlinear storytelling in the 1st half of the film, & a really solid performance from Statham.

Something else we expect is a fun, flashy frenzy - that's the name of the Ritchie / Statham game, right? Right?!?

Actually, no πŸ™ŽπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ leave that expectation at the door. Wrath of Man is possibly Ritchie's most serious, grounded production...& it's kinda refreshing. With adrenaline subdued, the success of this film relies completely on Ritchie's talents behind the camera, his design of sharp action sequences, & his ability to direct his players. & The end result is more satisfying than I would've thought.

PS: what's up with Andy Garcia owning the tiniest roles in movies these days? If you think I walk away from these experiences wanting more from you, Mr. Garcia...well, then you think right πŸ˜’β€οΈ
