I have pretty mixed emotions about this film. I can’t tell if i love it or just feel kind of neutral.
Let’s start with the positives. The look of this film is beautiful, it really feels unique and like it’s its own style. The acting is amazing. And i was most shocked with Bo Burnhams performance. I’ve watched all of his stand up specials and have followed his career for a while but i wasn’t sure about how it would transfer to the big screen. But he stole the show for me.
Now onto the parts that i didn’t love as much. The concept of this film has intrigued me since i first saw the trailer. But the execution of it just feels slightly off. I’m not sure how to put it in words but there was a couple of scenes where i just felt like it felt out of place or it just didn’t fit the overall message and tone of the movie.
