The Legend of Tarzan

The Legend of Tarzan ★½

It is terribly awkward to see a movie which is so unsure of its existence. A movie which lingers mostly in past and forced to carry the momentum of present. A movie that carries the creative burdens of rooting a legend and also to justify its myth in modern times.

The Legend of Tarzan is fractured, disjointed and overstuffed with narratives. It is cruel to tap into so many genre and succeeding at none. Dear Hollywood, cringe worthy conversations abruptly followed by incoherent action sequences is not the way of directing a blockbuster. Take a note, please.
