    The New World


    Slower than a GMC Geo driving through a tar-pit with molasses for fuel. That said, it's one of the most exquisitely beautiful films ever made. Malick has no interest in pushing a political message through the film, in fact, there's little dialog here at all. The acting is excellent across the board, and it's nice to see a subdued performance from Bale after opposite extremes in Batman Begins and The Machinist. Kilcher is a gem, and Farrell gives one of his best dramatic performance. Gorgeous.
