    Narrative:

    The story is pretty basic, which also makes it predictable; Rocky is a pretty unlikeable character. That being said, there are several story beats that do land well here and overall it's a good watch.

    Technical:

    Any film made like this deserves praise for truly awesome animation.

    Narrative:

    Goofy and overly self-serious all at once, the film still kept my attention - and it even worked... sometimes.
    The scene with Joseph and the gun arrived and everyone's actions were so unnatural and ridiculous that it took me out of the experience for a bit.
    The best part of the film, in my opinion, is the prevailing air of mystery. It's an interesting take on the idea of superheroes.

    As the movie ended I heard the cries of disdain from the people around me at the unrealistic happy ending because it doesn't seem they understood that they were watching a fairy tale.

    How I've never heard of this movie I don't know - maybe it's because the title has nothing to do with the film. That said, this movie is the best fairy tale film I've ever seen. The cinematography is gorgeous. The film is willing to explore the extremes of dark and light themes. I loved it.

    Narrative:
    Clearly, this film has good intentions, even if it's really just the idealization of a white man. It's peaceful, and its love for the frontier is somewhat contagious. I can say that the voice is consistent.
    However, the melodrama, in spite of the blood and sex, feels invented by a child - aka it feels like Disney movie, which is great in some cases but it serves as a weird juxtaposition to the subject matter here. The joyful music…
