Great bit near the middle of this where Eric and Lil Rey are discussing how White Chicks "would never work in real life" because the Wayans "look like bleached ninja turtles." The joke extends to the conceit of Bad Trip, i.e. that the standard suspension of disbelief in movies extends to everything, and that characters in movies behave as sociopaths, but are treated as fun, or clever, or charming. Bad Trip explores this essential contrivance and ruptures that internal logic. It casts characters from a gross-out comedy into the real world, where the reactions underscore precisely how antisocial these stock characters and scenarios are. Also cool that digital technology has advanced to a point that a hidden camera movie can look, more-or-less, like a real film. Big laughs, too. "Genders and genres."
