Jess C’s review published on Letterboxd:
I love Gaspar's style sooooooo much. His movement, his characters and the duress they suffer which leads to contemplative and challenging events, his choice of color, his use of music.
But this felt a lot more empty than his previous work. A reliance on old tricks without deeper themes doesn't work without that second level. I guess "don't do LSD" works, but his previous stuff has had so much more than that, and I wish this did too.
Best style of the year? Yes, but not much else.
