Epic. Powerful. Beautiful. Fun. Exciting. Emotional. Fulfilling. Avengers: Endgame is all of these things and so much more.
I really wasn't ready for this. This movie absolutely destroyed me. A large chapter of my life ended tonight, and it's the most bittersweet feeling I've ever had. That 6-year-old who saw Iron Man back in 2008 is so happy right now. This universe really has changed my life and how I look at film in general, and this was the best finale that I could've asked for.
The first two acts of the film are fantastic, but I was a little worried that the film would be a little overhyped because I wasn't getting that emotional. I was having a ton of fun, but it really wasn't feeling like a finale to me. But that changed real quick, and this film quickly became my all-time favorite comic book movie, and one of my favorite movies in general.
Avengers: Endgame balances everything perfectly. The humor, the action, the emotion; it's all there, and it's all dialed to eleven here, delivering the most satisfying film I've probably ever seen. The performances, the effects, the plot, the characters; it's all top notch here, and I cried more here than I've probably ever cried in a movie, and that's no joke.
This is an epic finale to a series I've been following for eleven years. There are some things I can certainly nitpick, and it's certainly not a flawless film, but as a fan, I am incredibly satisfied. Best MCU movie. Best comic book movie. One of the best movies of the decade.
