BlacKkKlansman ★★★½

It isn't that BlacKkKlansman feels unresolved or unfinished; it is more that the ends are tied together so rapidly that the long build-up leaves you, not with an explosion, but with an easy easing out of the story, until Lee decides to infuse the ending with reality - a decision I respect and dislike. This joint stands strongly on its own with its great performances, especially Driver and Washington, with its stellar stylistics, and an un-preachy, nuanced way of portraying a political climate.
