Jarno Maertens’s review published on Letterboxd:
Guy Ritchie's Heat? Yes please!
Realistic gunshot audio-mixing is back, as Ritchie once again teams up with Jason Statham to make a violent revenge film fueled by a heart pounding soundtrack and loads of nihilism critiquing views on 'masculinity'.
Wrath of Man is full of brutal actions and a revenge fulfilled without true catharsis or enjoyment... so yeah it's more realistic without easy validation.
Jason Statham actually did no phone his performance in at all, in fact you see him almost emotional in one scene. Also Scott Eastwood played an asshole really well in here. I was genuinely impressed with him not being generic and forgettable for once.
