    Jodorowsky's Dune

    ★★★★

The final Dune-related movie I was interested in was the documentary about Jodorowsky's massive project which never came to be. I've not seen any of his movies, but this documentary nicely paints a picture of what they are like and also what kind of person Alejandro Jodorowsky is. Spider-Man

    ★★★½

I haven't seen the original Spider-Man since I was about five years old so with the release of the recent Spider-Man I decided to give the older ones a watch. This was a very enjoyable and entertaining retelling of the wallcrawler's origin story and even though it isn't the best movie, it is very charming and it features some solid elements.

The only real thing that was intriguing to me before watching this was the cast which really…

    Paths of Glory

    ★★★★

Even though Paths of Glory isn't Kubrick's first war movie, it is much better than his first effort and this is definitely his first truly great movie. It still has the very short runtime of his previous films, but this does much more than his previous releases. From the anti-war story to the visuals and the screenplay, this is just great. There are plenty of subject matter this film tackles in the short runtime and it does that without forcing…
