“There's something wrong with this beach!“

    M. Night Shyamalan’s Old is a thematically poignant and stylistically Impressive feature. The performances, in particularly Gael Garcia Bernal and Vicky Krieps, are undeniably effective and craft a harrowing portrait of grief and morality. The fluidity of camera impresses and with Shyamalan allowing the film to breathe with his camera work ultimately allows the tension and atmosphere to brood and work wonders. Granted, to say it doesn't have blemishes would…

“If we're going out, we're going out Looney!“

Vile. A crescendo of corporate greed and inability to understand or accept what this featute truly represents. Warner Bros should be utterly ashamed of itself. This feature projects and ultimately flaunts its futuristic intent to its audiences in a vein of nostalgia and false promise. That's only the subtext and implication of this film. The performances are atrocious.…

The exact same entity and thoughts second time around. Even with a little more momentum and depth - courtesy of it's predecessor - Batman: The Long Halloween, Part II is as rudimentary, disappointing and uneventful as I had feared. Perhaps this has a little more motif with it's exploration of lore but nevertheless, the story bests are dull and uninteresting. Granted, as with its predecessor, the features voice acting is utterly superb again and…

“A killer who only works on holidays... There's lots of crazy out there”

It's hard to credit this feature plaudits with so little that feel is actually accomplished. From someone who has not read the source material, I can't help but feel like this is an over extension and ultimately monotonous beginning to this story. No atmosphere, no tension, no entertainment is involved, from the story beats to the mystery at hand. The animation…

“Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to”

Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi is a bitterly disappointing, flat, tiresome, and ultimately disastrous attempt at wanting to stand out against the norm. The tone is completely utterly wrong for such a massively important episode in a franchise that needs to go darker and embrace it. It has no clue of what it wants to…

”Is it just me, or is it getting crazier out there?”

Phoenix is phenomenal. Dark, gritty & fucking crazy Joker is more on the lines of Mean Streets than Taxi Driver but is clearly heavily influenced on the latter. It all looks to be serving a masterclass, but Phillips stumbles in the last hurdle with the film not knowing if it wants to stand alone as its own entity or be enticed and constricted by the lore that surrounds it.
