    ★★★★

A new, quirky ranger arrives in the snowbound Vermont town of Beaverfield just as a storm isolates the population and a creature might be targeting them one by one... and it could be any one of them! Calling it now, WERWOLVES WITHIN is going to be this generation's CLUE. A quirky cast of actors and characters in a 'whodunit' werewolf plot that's equally funny and frightening. And strangely socially relevant as this seemingly friendly Americana town is ready to blow up from fear. Was great to see for a Beyond Fest screening and especially theatrically at the Aero Theater.

    JUNESPLOITATION DAY 22: ZOMBIES

Lucio Fulci's unofficial DAWN OF THE DEAD sequel is a zombie horror classic in its own right. With a phenomenal Fabio Frizzi score, ample gore and bloodshed, and bonkers sequences like the zombie vs shark fight and eye splinter that will live on in infamy.

Even more powerful on the big screen. "You can't edit reality" is a terrifyingly relevant tagline especially in this video nasty satire.

    JUNESPLOITATION DAY 20: Musicals!

Brian De Palma's 70's horror rock opera is still an audio visual feast for the eyes with and kick-ass soundtrack and incredible stage sequences. And Paul Williams is an underrated actor as a villain.
