I think for me, one of the marks of quality for a documentary is when I feel at times while watching like I'm just seeing another ordinary narrative film. Like I forget I'm actually watching real people and they just feel like constructed characters acting. I understand in docs events can be setup and most of the stories and even character relationships can be constructed in editing, but when it's done well, it feels invisible. This was really good.
