Jack’s review published on Letterboxd:
Another great short by Fero. Looks at the events of 2011 with terrifying lucidity - the death of Mark Duggan and police brutality at his memorial as the sparks that lit the riots of 2011. Falls down in being confined to Tottenham (and broadly London, as much of Fero's work tbh), yes the riots started there but would have liked to have seen more on the events in other cities. Nevertheless we have the devastating accounts by family and community members that you would expect from any of his films, juxtaposed brilliantly with chief pig at the met - no idea how Fero got that interview but all power to him. The usual poetic monologue on contemporary politics and film too, powerful stuff like "each sneer confirms their hatred of the working class".
