You've seen The Breakfast Club? Now imagine that with a boat load more blood and deaths
This is a very strange and silly film which turns into a very interesting and thought provoking film.
A brother and sister are transported from modern day (well 1998) in a black and white TV show called Pleasantville.
Whilst everyone's life is idyllic and nothing out of the ordinary happens, their presence causes people to act out and become 'colour'.
This then becomes a not too dissimilar to the American 50's and signs such as 'no colours' are put up and books burnt.
Very underrated and deserves a watch.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Massive issue with this film. Meant to be based on a true story about 2 people stranded in the middle of the ocean that end up dead.
If this is the case then no one has any idea what reall happened. The only two true events are that they didnt get back on the boat and they died. That mean anything could have happened, including being taken to a dolphin underwater fortress before being killed by over excited star fish.
I wanted to go skiing.
