    Suffers a bit from being so successful and deeply ingrained into our culture, a little too slow getting into the conspiracy when you already know exactly where it is headed, and I've got some questions about the literal plot why they go about things the way they do, but as an allegory it still holds up really well.

    Solid enough end to a solid enough series, like were they leave it for the end of a franchise, silly but effective monster, good setting.

    I was always kind of hoping Paul from the first film was going to show back up at some point though.

    (apparently there was such a gap between this and the previous Fisher-Directed Frankenstein due to more car accidents, how may car accidents did this guy get into??)

    Hard to give a rating at this point, because this very much is and feels like the first half of an extra long movie; I'm loving what there is so far, but it's incomplete. For the next instalment I hope to see Villeneuve lean into the ecological themes, and find an interesting angle for the white savior aspects of the story, plus ramp up some of the weirdness please.
