Twin Peaks: The Return ★★★★★

While Evil itself was generated by the detonation of the first atomic bomb and then disgustingly vomited into the world, Innocence in its most primal and purest form, taking the shape of Laura Palmer's uncorrupted smile in a golden orb, was born and sent to planet Earth by the tenderness of a kiss.
A 18 hour long movie that happens to be the greatest thing ever achieved by the human kind (and not just on a cinematic level). Twin Peaks is cinema as an awakening tool. Cinema as an instrument of rebirth. And just like the dormant Agent Cooper that returns to life through Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard on a tv screen, through cinema, we wake up. But who was the dreamer all along?
