The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Grand Budapest Hotel ★★★½

The story here reveals itself like it’s part of an exceptionally ornate pop-up book, one that is (a bit too) darkly comedic, dense and increasingly ridiculous and half-assed (that third act... woof!). I really don’t know how it was allowed for Zero (Tony Revolori) to grow up to be a white man (F. Murray Abraham), especially when Tilda Swinton was acting in old-age makeup.
