Jonathan Milott’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s hard to watch a film set in the 1300’s, when women were considered property with little to no rights, completely subservient to men and their religions, and then not make a sad connection to the politics of today. The hypocrisy with which freedom from government is cried by the same people who strive to limit women's rights is as maddening as the injustice shown in this film.
How is Scott so prolific at his age? That is something to marvel at. I hope he works for another 40 years.
