    A miraculous film that feels so breezy even though it runs three hours. That feels so suspenseful despite one knowing the ending. That honestly gets better each time you watch it.

    I think the appeal this has to me for rewatching is that you start to feel like Graysmith, going back over the clues in dusty folders, hoping to finally find the key to the case but of course, like him, you never find it. That sense of feeling close to the truth but it forever being just out of reach is a really powerful thing and keeps me coming back to this movie.

    Holy fuck this is good. Pure cinema. I’m staggered that this is essentially a student film. It’s made with the utmost confidence and looks and sounds better than most much bigger budgeted films released today.
