heyyyrhiannon’s review published on Letterboxd:
entire movie about lack of opprotunity for female directors and writers and how they arent given chances - movie ends and SHOCKER its directed by a man.
besides the annoying af fact that this is directed by a man 🙄 There is some new info presented here but most of it is just the same info we already know and been knew about forever. Pacing is a bit erratic and jumping from interview to interview works in some cases but other times it just felt weird and unnecessary, more of a “look who we got an interview from!”
ultimately my only thoughts leaving the film were:
GIVE WOMEN MORE OPPROTUNITIES YOU FUCKING COWARDS
hopefully things start to actually change and well eventually see it in other areas of the film industry that arent in the spotlight - no one ever wants to talk about those below the line, waiting for that day honestly.
