Nick Hernandez’s review published on Letterboxd:
Where can I sign up for this game? (Jk never in a million years would I volunteer myself for that insanity).
What a f**king high octane thriller of an ending. Well really the whole thing, I was honestly hooked right from the jump. Michael Douglas was outstanding.
And that final shot was great. There was nice photography sprinkled throughout this too, like when Douglas’ car pulled up from work in the beginning.
The score was a little 90s-esque but fit this movie perfectly.
Two things I found funny:
Congress debating whether small businesses can offer health insurance, you’d think they’d actually have that figured out in the U.S. more generally by now but alas.
Douglas hiding his gun in a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird.
I don’t really have much else to add other than that this is a really fun thrill ride that I thoroughly enjoyed.
You know it’s a complement to his overall filmography when I enjoyed this movie that much and yet it’s still last in my ranking.
