Duncan HTH 🎥🎙’s review published on Letterboxd:
With the opening scene of Charli XCX singing about thinking about boys playing over a slow-mo dance montage of frumpy business men’s bums and bulges in khakis, I could tell I was in for something special.
A few scenes later, after she leaves her first predator behind, and is chowing down on a ketchup dripping hot dog and staring down cat calling construction workers until they think she is the creep, I thought I knew where this gender flip on predatory behavior was going.
I was wrong. This is something special. But it is completely unpredictable.
Don’t let that rainbow cupcake aesthetic fool you. This cuts deep. And it hurts.
