this film is sort of like the anti-Her in that it's a vaguely twee rom-com about a guy and his imaginary girlfriend except for this one doesn't feel anywhere near as dated or misogynistic, and it also doesn't suck. I like the idea that all of Craig Gillespie's films are just about 'person who refuses to act in a socially acceptable fashion' and also that Lars is just the Drive guy in a gentler timeline. subtle anti-psychiatry messages as well I think?
