Lee, or El Duderino, if, you're not into the whole brevity thing’s review published on Letterboxd:
"I'm just buttering your knuckle."
Maybe if Paul Feig had directed this it would have been fun, but McCarthy and Spencer had shockingly little chemistry here. My friend told me that they've been real life friends for decades, so I'm assuming the fault rests on either the writing/directing, or that their roles should have been swapped—I'd wager all of the above. Oddly enough, the star of the show was Jason "The Crab" Bateman, who has far more chemistry with McCarthy. Overall, one you can skip, even if you're a fan of any involved.
PS: Shame they didn't go for a Thunderstruck needledrop, but Dreams, Here I go Again, and Kiss from a Rose were solid despite being poorly mixed.
