Bing Crosby's and Danny Kaye's buddy chemistry has it's moments, yet even they couldn't save this ship from sinking. This film is filled to the brim with musical numbers that feel artificial and dance sequences that are shot so mundanely, you may as well be sitting in a theater. If there's nothing cinematic about it, why bother putting it on film? And despite what the title and poster may suggest, this has very little to do with christmas.
FINALLY I found the name for the movie! I have thought about this movie all my life since I first watched it as a very young kid. Was probably like 7 at the time? And I even got nightmares from it back then! As much as this is a family intended movie, it had some really weird and scary moments, which is probably why no one likes it.
