this was... god awful from start to finish.
there isn’t a single reason to care about any of the characters or the success of their mission apart from the boring and usual “if we don’t do this the world is gonna end” bs. there is NO character development and because of this there is absolutely ZERO tension the whole movie.
the dialogue was atrocious. it felt like the characters were reading from a Wikipedia page
the villain’s motives was so dumb and it was revealed so terribly. “oh btw, andrei has cancer. so that’s why he’s doing all of this. because if he dies he doesn’t want the world to exist because he can’t be in it.” like ok?
the last 30 minutes of the movie were just the worst. there was rubble, explosions, screaming, inversion stuff happening. there was just so much nonsense on screen that it was hard to follow, and once again, no tension, because there were no stakes. so I just didn’t care.
