Geoff Simons’s review published on Letterboxd:
I was begging for it to end, and it just wouldn't. This could've been 90 minutes. How many needle drops does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll? This film had a soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and barely used it. The most irritating soundtrack ever, and I love most of the songs used. So unnecessary.
It feels like Shults wanted to invent the "elevated Lifetime after school special" genre. You did it, fella. And it sucks ass.
