Fredrik Fyhr’s review published on Letterboxd:
Never really understood why this is still seen as a sissy wissy cartoon.
It's one of the greatest and most accomplished films ever made. Not only brilliant in doing everything it sets out to do, not only excruciatingly beautiful and detailed, not only a cinematic symphony with a story that makes it totally epic even though it only consists of 9 scenes and 67 minutes... but with an entire subplot that is a complete mystery, leaving you wonder for a lifetime what really happens behind the walls of secrecy in the corridors of forest kingdom (well there's BAMBI II but I'll probably never watch it).
BAMBI really is, at least in my eyes, one of those clear top contenders for best movie ever made, with little real competition.
