Contains a lot of enjoyable elements but it mostly missed the mark for me overall. The music was a bit overwhelming in the first act, they really wanted to shove the 90’s down our throats early on!

Decent performances from the cast, loved the LGBTQA romance, and there was one really great kill. Other than that, found the story a bit dull (maybe they shouldn’t have explained it all in the trailers?) and the “slasher nostalgia” didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I find that most of these throwback films rarely ever FEEL like the flicks they reference.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga continue to be an extremely likable duo; I enjoyed seeing them together again and especially enjoyed the (rather short) scene where they help a police officer solve a murder case in a forest, which was teased in the trailer.

The rest of the film, however, is not up to par with the first two in the series. Though I don’t possess (get it? Possess??) the Abrahamic beliefs required to actually be scared of any of…

All of the characters looked amazing and the visual effects were fantastic but overall the film just didn’t do it for me. Having a hard time figuring out why. Weird pacing maybe?

I really liked the opening sequence though so I wish we would have gotten more Sub Zero and Scorpion stuff throughout; was not a fan of the original character they threw in.

One star for the characters and one for some fun fatalities!

Absolutely SENSATIONAL. The passion behind this film is so abundantly CLEAR, from the way each scene meticulously plays out, to the heart wrenching character arcs, the utterly fantastic score, and exceptional action set pieces, reducing Zack Snyder’s Justice League to “just a superhero movie” would be so belittling and untrue; this goes above and beyond that. Let this be a testament that auteur filmmaking will ALWAYS upstage a film made by committee.
