    I watched Macario last week. On first viewing, I loved it so much, but I didn't fully grasp every detail. I decided to watch it again a few hours after my first viewing.     I consider Steven Spielberg to be one of the best filmmakers of all time, but not the absolute greatest. According to a lot of people, Spielberg's best films are Schindler's List, Indiana Jones 1 & 3, Saving Private Ryan, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Catch Me If You Can, and E.T. The Extra Terrestrial.     I watched Taste of Cherry several nights ago. It is another cinematic masterpiece from Abbas Kiarostami. This film was recommended to me by a good friend from mine. This is one of the reasons why I decided to explore Kiarostami's filmography. I'm really happy I watched his films because Kiarostami is now one of my favorite filmmakers of all time.     I'm not the biggest fan of slice of life films. A lot of slice of films that I've seen tend to have nothing wrong with them, but they tend to follow a really generic formula. Usually the films would have the "life is hard" theme without fleshing it out or communicating in an interesting way. These films would also have really uninteresting characters.
