Andrew Grant’s review published on Letterboxd:
I *used* to enjoy the films of Angela Schanelec. But, after living in Germany (Berlin) for 11 years, I find her portraits of individuals and life itself here rather laughable. It's as if her films are tailor-made for the international festival crix crowd.
Had an especially hard time with this one, save for two things:
1) The M. Ward cover of Bowie's Let's Dance over the bleak montage is a great 3 minutes.
2) The lengthy street scene about acting is spot on in that this sort of intense conversation on a crowded street is something that is a regular occurrence here.
