Rewatching The Raven knowing on its own it's not a bad thriller at all, but there are multiples times even when you're watching it that you know it could be so much better.
Though there's a healthy heaping of gore, none of what takes places is actually scary or suspenseful.
You get the feeling John Cusack was the 10th choice for the lead as everyone else on the shortlist turned it down. He's okay in it, but...
The Raven disappears from you consciousness in a blip, remaining a movie you saw but didn't feel much for.
You might see it again if someone in your orbit feels like watching it, otherwise you'll remember it...Nevermore.
BTW- The Letterboxd user below this post ate all your cherry pie. That's not a euphemism for anything. He/She went into your fridge and just took and ate all your fucking pie.
