Um, first of all, Jaime Pressly was like uncomfortably bonersome. Traci Lords level hot. Also, she was kind of amazing here, as an actress. She glides like a bird of prey, or a street cat. So cunty, and so mesmerizing. She holds court in a bitch-off with Susan-fucking-Tyrrell. Not bad, Miss Pressly.
I have a soft spot for the Poison Ivys, the films and also the characters. I empathized with Ivy, she was broken and clearly the product of abuse and neglect. Lily was boring and Alyssa Milano's acting abilities are limited, but it was a fun venture. "The New Seduction" resuscitated the series. Not quite as whimsical as the first, but generous in sensationalism and softcore scenes that are ACTUALLY sexy. If that opening scene doesn't do it for you, well I don't know what you want from me. Get outta here...

Come to see Jaime Pressly naked, stay...to continue seeing Jaime Pressly naked. So of course this isn't really that good, but if you're looking for an erotic thriller it kind of delivers on its promise. The story is a standard revenge type plot but Jaime Pressly is mesmerizing to look at, which is the entire basis of my star rating. I can give it a pass for being trashy fun.

Maybe I missed something but... what in the world was Violet's goal, here? She clearly wasn't interested in either of the men she ping-ponged between. She clearly wasn't after money or status. She clearly didn't care about her own mother or being part of an actual family.
It's completely clear what she didn't want out of all the cat and mousery.

Starting the day with some gratuitous sleaze, the unrated cut of the third Poison Ivy film. This one stars Jaime Pressly as the wicked teenage temptress whose power to turn men's brains into jelly, and whose will to turn the world upside down to match her own world, destroys a family that was ripe for destruction.
I was excited when I saw that Susan Tyrell was in this, but her character isn't very enjoyable. This is sad, perpetually drunk Susan Tyrell. Gin blossoms Susan Tyrell. Pressly, with her sly sass, gives the only performance worth the running time in this one.
What could Poison Ivy: The Secret Society hold in store? A whole club of home wreckers? I can't wait.

Okay, now we're talking. Unless you're a huge Drew or Alyssa fan, I would highly recommend skipping to the end and just going with this, hands down the best of the series, which proudly displays it's exploitation bonafides and just lets rip with all the stuff that should have been in the first two movies. First of all, Jaime Pressley is 10 times hotter than Drew and Alyssa combined and is constantly either naked or dressed like a dominatrix, and that alone is worth the price of admission. If you're looking for a seductive psychotic femme fatale then Jaime Pressly is it. She's as diabolical as she is spectacular to look at in this movie. This is a sexy wicked little film. A perfect sequel to the original.
We watch Pressly slink into a home and methodically disassemble the lives of every one in it. She is slick and sensual, drop dead gorgeous, intelligent and insane. With innocent eyes and a powerful body she slithers through relationships and sinks her poisonous fangs into everyone. She has magnetically wicked grins and lunatic glimmers down to an art form.

Less emotionally disturbed than its predecessor(s), Poison Ivy 3 simply gives viewers what they came for: a nude Jamie Pressley every 10 minutes. If that sort of thing isn't your bag, I suggest moving along.

Easily the best Poison Ivy entry period. Doesn't completely abandon what's set up in the first film like the "Lily" does but also it capitalizes on some more poignant aspects in a great exploitation manner unlike the original. Plays with class a lot more, includes a more seedy and smutty revenge plot. Jaime Pressly is striaght up kinda incredible in this. This is so much more earnestly campier and strips away any pretense that the other two had. Big time new guilty pleasure.
Not gonna lie, I'd be interested in a modern day reboot of this franchise. Especially along the lines of Emerald Fennell's "Promising Young Woman." Lot of ripe material there.
