• Little Miss Sunshine

    Little Miss Sunshine

A very funny and entertaining road trip movie that definitely hits you in the feels. There are some parts I don’t like but in the grand scheme of things that are very minor. The performances across the board are fantastic and you genuinely hope the family make it to there destination, however the best part of the film is when they’ve reached their destination and come to a realisation what they’ve traveled all that way for. Also didn’t know the boy was Paul Dano, Steve Carrell is also excellent, hope he got his happy ending.

  • Shark Tale

    Shark Tale

Look, Shark Tale is a film from my childhood. I know its animation is creepy, I know it’s filled to the brim with celebrity voice actors and I know the film is just a bit naff, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t still enjoyable to this day. 7000 people have given this 5 stars, surly that says something, even if a couple thousand are simply for banter. I do feel that (nearly) everyone in the voice cast…

  • Scream

I liked Scream, I didn’t love it as much as I would have liked but I thought it was an enjoyable slasher flick. It’s very self aware, maybe a bit to self aware. It very much seems like a parody of itself and breaks the 4th wall to tell you exactly what is going to happen. I thought all the performances were great with alot of the “kids” being played by well established actors in their own right with the…

  • The A-Team

    The A-Team

I have very vivid memories of watching The A-Team with my dad, probably when he was trying to get me to sleep when I was probably still in nappies. But I definitely remember the theme tune and the truck. I remember seeing this in 2010 and I really enjoyed it, 12 years later and it’s still just as entertaining. I love Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper, I do think they could have maybe gone for different actors for Baracus and…

  • Brazen

I actually found this film rather entertaining 😂. It’s a very generic murder mystery film with its twist and turns and who dun it story line but there’s a added bonus, it’s got a element of Only Fans going for it 😂😂. Nah but for real the performances are pretty decent and it definitely kept me hooked considering I have to get up at 6 for work in the morning which is in 6 hours… I need sleep man.

  • Captain America: Civil War

    Captain America: Civil War

Finally!!! After the last 4 years of doing this every movie ever thing I finally got round to my MCU film Captain America Civil War. This film is near enough flawless! People say that this is Avengers 2.5 but I personally don’t see it that way. This is a Captain America film which just happens to include several of the original Avengers. I’m personally team Captain America but you can see the arguments behind Tony Stark and the Sakovia accords,…

  • The Royal Treatment

    The Royal Treatment

January + Netflix + Romance = Dog shit

The film isn’t awful, only for like 75% of the movie. There are elements that I liked, but most of it is pure cringe.

Mena Massoud was great in Aladdin but hasn’t had much work since and this film very much displays the reasoning as to why that is, he’s not a bad actor but his line delivery at times was absolutely awful. Many of the “American” characters are so fucking annoying…

  • The House

    The House

The House is one of the most terrifying animated films I have ever seen, I legit was tempted to turn it off because I was so shook from what I was witnessing, especially with the score it heightened everything. The reason for my score is because I didn’t like it, not because I thought it was poorly made. It well and truly has a lot of passion injected into it with its animation, voice acting and storylines, it just didn’t…

  • RoboCop 2

    RoboCop 2

Jesus Chris how does the sequel to a fantastic 80s film with the director of The Empire Strikes Back be so bloody shit and boring. The film feels like it should have wrapped up by about the hour mark but progressively gets worse after that point. It had hints of greatness with some of its violence at times but everything great about the first is stripped away to create what I can only describe as a cash grab with stupid sound effects. Hugely disappointed and expected better.

  • Rambo: First Blood Part II

    Rambo: First Blood Part II

Still don’t really get the hype behind the Rambo films. The action isn’t spectacular, the acting isn’t great and the overall story just seems a bit all over the place. Kinda lost interest 30 minutes in.

  • Save the Cinema

    Save the Cinema

I’m not going to lie, when the film first started I was like great… 2022 has started awfully. However it wasn’t until the film went on I really started to enjoy it more and more. I don’t want to spoil to much but the overall ending is really special. Oh and if it wasn’t for this whole ordeal we wouldn’t have the GoCompare man…
Maybe 2022 won’t be a bad start to the year for film like last year…

  • The Tender Bar

    The Tender Bar

It’s an enjoyable little film with some decent performances. Ben Affleck is fantastic. All I would say is that once JR becomes a young adult the movie takes a different route to when he was a child. While not an awful thing it’s definitely noticeable with its change of gears. Much better then Clooney’s sci-fi film in 2020.
