Emilia Holmström’s review published on Letterboxd:
What a gem!
Harry Dean Stanton is pure gold! Why wasn't he cast more in main roles?
Utterly beautiful cinematography, a mysterious story, humane characters. The tension builds up towards the end and you don't see the time passing as you stay glued to the screen.
Somehow a very European film soaked in melancholy but with a Texas backdrop. Is this a road movie? Or more of a love story? And how is it possible that the only other film that I've seen from Wim Wenders is Buena Vista Social club??? So many gaping holes in my culture... But I'm so happy this film is no longer one of them.
