A very competent disaster movie with an above average script and performances. There are actually a few really tense moments in the film and it never gets boring.
Oh how I wish this was better, but it's very mediocre. The idea was not new back in 1998, but I'm sure a better screenwriter could've developed it better. It's only watchable because of its stars, 90s teen icons James Marsden, Katie Holmes and Nick Stahl. Oh, and Katharine Isabelle is here as well! Which was a nice surprise. As far as 90s teen thrillers go, this is one of the tamest.
