It's the little things. It always is.

The notion isn't anything new. I don't even know how many times I've heard someone say to focus on the little things, that beauty is in the mundane. Sometimes, when the light is right and I'm a little bit lucky, I'll walk out of class into a warm twilight. The cars on Market Street whizz by, their off-white headlights cutting through the dark blue haze. A skater wooshes left, a cyclist rings right. I put my earbuds in, hit shuffle on my favorite playlist, and the world turns into a film. It's a simple thing, but the fortunate happenstance of it all never ceases to bring a smile…
