    Fanny and Alexander

This is such a warm and comforting visual experience especially in the beginning, it intimately helps tell this story that is also very personal as it examines the dynamics of family. In many ways it feels similar to being a child because it details so many things that most children do. This is also partially because the film is trying to portray itself from the lens of a child at least part of the time. It also bounces around though…

  • Shithouse

Hope this isn’t kinda how my first year goes but it almost feels like a premonition in someways. It’s a pretty interesting and funny film that has a very indie feel that really works for and makes it grounded. It’s still, in a lot of ways pretty relatable to me thematically and I’d assume even a bit more so once I’ve really experienced college. It can be awkward, sad, funny, happy, stupid and pretty much any emotion throughout the runtime.…

    Iron Man 2

Definitely not the same as the first Iron Man and right off the bat you can tell the direction feels different. It’s definitely still interesting though primarily because of Tony Stark and how the script plays off of his persona. It’s a bit anticlimactic though because the film goes by so fast and it feels like not that much happens in it. Moderately entertaining yet it also feels like a void and I felt little from it, probably the worst mcu film I’ve seen at this point on my rewatch journey. It’s not really bad it just feels like nothing to me.

  • Zack Snyder's Justice League

    Zack Snyder's Justice League

Zach Snyder can definitely do visuals pretty well, there are a lot of gorgeous scenes throughout this film. The story is surprisingly dull and bring in the beginning with a couple laughable moments, something seems off and disjointed about the whole thing. Snyder also seems to prioritize things he thinks would be cool or that look cool in concept over logic. There’s no set up really everything just happens in this very weird way. It feels very emotional distant cold…

    Godzilla vs. Kong

Most of the human storylines are pretty cheesy, while not being very well acted and written either. The plus is there’s a some good moments with Godzilla and Kong and the movie has some other fun moments here and there but that’s about it.

  • Soul

Soul is a mesmerizing experience about living and loving. It tells a heartwarming story that is full of the beauty of life as well as the search for purpose. This is a beautiful film to look at with its stunning and creative visuals. I also really loved the score and all of the jazz that’s was incorporated throughout the film really helped immerse me in the world. I was maybe a little surprised at how much I connected with this…
