Evan “Kaizō Haya-shill” Pincus’s review published on Letterboxd:
Was ready to be like “looks cool but if I were gonna watch a darker-than-average animated adventure movie I’d rather watch 9” but then an original Owl City song (lmao) hit outta nowhere and the rest of the movie was just insane operatic Snyder action but completely untethered from any sort of rational reality in ways even his crazy live action shit can’t be and, you know what, I Get it! Why do contemporary live-action blockbusters look more like this than animated ones?
While I can’t say that I give a shit ‘bout what this film describes
Good background noise for hanging out and feeling Snyder vibes!
