David Owen’s review published on Letterboxd:
I was able to see this on the big screen last year (thank you Australia for taking this seriously) and it was awesome. exactly how the movie was designed to be seen. I let it just wash over me and didn't try to hold onto anything too tightly because I was sure I wouldn't grasp it (spoiler: I was right).
This second viewing was just what I needed. Plot points made more sense the second time around, I knew where it was headed so I didn't have to focus on the big picture and could give the minutiae my full attention.
I was surprised by just how well it actually did hold together. It's easy to write off Nolan for a lot of reasons and so of course there's been blow back on this (welcome to the internet) but watching it this time it really worked for me and I would have happily started it again when it finished and watched it right through again.
