This is a masterpiece not just because it’s iconic and absolutely fucking delightful but it’s just one notch under realistic. On a scale that we normally see as realism vs. fantasy, it falls in a middle ground where every single thing is questionable, and the film is completely aware of it. In the meantime, it shaped a whole generation’s humor.
