    jesus christ, what a fucking mess. this thing tries to be 3 different movies at once (Full Metal Jacket, The Road and a preachy PSA about PTSD) but it absolutely fails at all attempts. sure shia gives a great performance but it's absolutely bogged down by the jumbled narrative and storytelling. this thing also looks very ugly and cheap too, bad effects, terrible cgi backdrops, and some unintentionally hilarious moments in the script (that ending holy shit I burst out laughing). hated this, what a turd.
