DaveDuchovny’s review published on Letterboxd:
Love Exposure is somehow the most entertaining and often funny film I've ever watched despite it being just under 4 hours. It's absolutely absurd story-wise, featuring some bizarre characters that are for some unexplained reason easy to get emotionally attached to. Love Exposure quite apparently doesn't have the highest of budgets, but this only adds to the massive schizo energy the permeates every nook and crevice of the film. Thematically, the film is dense and spectacular. There are a great variety of possible interpretations on the film's portrayals of love, perversion, and god that you just can't find in any other movie. Go into the film blind because any spoiler will ruin the fun.
