Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter ★★★½

"Welcome home"

I'm not a massive fan of Resident Evil, so my positive approach to the final instalment of the series will probably annoy people who absolutely hate this: I think Paul W. S. Anderson did a great job.

Since I'm not a massive fan of the series, I was a little worried about seeing this because I didn't think I'd understand a thing about it- but my man Anderson got my back. Anderson literally summed up the events of the first five films with an introduction. Thanks dude- appreciate it- I couldn't remember a thing about the original, but the introduction displayed all the coolest scenes in the original film, and it reminded me of how awesome that film was.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was a nice sendoff to the series in my opinion; it was a cool callback to the original film, included some awesome fight scenes, and was pretty hilarious at times ("Triad of bitches").

I usually end with a recommendation or whatever, but because this film has a reception so mixed with everyone, including fans of the series; I just don't know what to say. Like, if you enjoyed the first one, you will either hate or enjoy this- I don't know what one, but it's either one of them, I guess.

I'm just saying I enjoyed it, it was fun.
